Unique Victorian School Dental Service is a mobile dental clinic organisation

that promises a long time commitment by providing complete dental treatments on a fully equipped mobile dental clinic on site.

We also have provision for offsite follow-up appointments and aftercare with the associated clinics, even when the dental mobile clinic is not on site. This sets us apart from other such organisations. Our affiliated dental clinic priorities your appointment, if required for more complex treatments.

We provide a wide range of dental treatments at your school with a mission to improve the oral health of children

aged 2 -17 years in our local community. We highly encourage schools to join our Oral Health Program for the younger Australian population by preventing and treating dental issues at an early age.

Why our visits to schools are important

  • We at VSDS aim to give a positive experience for visiting a dentist by offering a caring and friendly environment with experienced staff.
  • As parents are usually unaware of the child early dental needs ,VSDS organise check ups in the school for early diagnosis of dental issues.
  • Expensive and complex dental procedures can be avoided by early intervention..
  • We educate the children the importance of maintaining good oral health.

We provide:

  • An on-site scheduled visit of a registered dental therapist/dentist to the school in a fully equipped mobile dental clinic focusing on dental education, dental check-ups, and dental treatments if required.
  • We will make sure parent consent is taken before performing any procedures by sending an information and consent letter.
  • The check-ups are FREE for all the children attending school and treatment is bulk billed for children of families under Medicare CDBS.
  • We also offer free check-ups and discounted treatment for all the hard working teachers.
  • Children of families not covered under CDBS will be also provided dental treatment at discounted fees, as we are committed to national dental health.
  • An oral health report is completed for each student by our staff and sent home to inform the parents of their child's current oral health condition.
  • All visits are conducted during school hours in the mobile dental clinic, which follows high standard of infection control protocols.
  • Our local affiliated dental clinic will look after all the follow-up treatment if need be even when our mobile clinic is not on site.
